What is a CoolPeel®?

CoolPeel® is a brand new way to safely, and comfortably deliver the benefits of a traditional CO2 resurfacing treatment. By targeting just the superficial layer of skin tissue, damaged skin is removed revealing younger and healthier looking skin. The CoolPeel® leverages the exclusive H-Pulse: a high-peak-power short pulse that delivers a fully-ablative treatment without causing thermal damage to surrounding tissue. Without thermal damage, downtime is drastically minimized. At the same time, the system delivers impressive superficial skin-resurfacing results.

What to expect during your CoolPeel® treatment:

Your technician will complete a detailed medical history questionnaire to determine if you are an appropriate candidate for treatment. A topical numbing cream will then be applied and once fully numbed, our skilled technician will administer the CoolPeel® treatment to the desired treatment areas. The face, neck, chest, or hands are the most common. You can expect to feel a heat, warming sensation during treatment.

One of the main benefits of a CoolPeel®, is that there is minimal downtime. Immediately after your treatment, most patients will experience redness for 1-3 days. For more aggressive treatments this may last longer. Mild to moderate swelling, sunburn/warm sensation and a feeling of skin tightness are also common post treatment and may last 1-3 days or longer. Skin may also crust, itch and flake for 3-7 days after treatment, depending on the treatment settings. Makeup may not be applied for the first 24 hours. We recommend your treatment be performed at least 1 week prior to any important work events or social activities.

Multiple treatments, spaced every 4-6 weeks, may be required to achieve the desired response. You will notice immediate as well as longer term improvements in your skin over the next several months.
